What Nova does
Nova runs LinkedIn and email outreach for B2B teams: it finds people who match your ICP, researches them, warms them up, and drafts messages in your voice inside per-account safety limits. Nothing is sent to a new lead until a human approves it.
That approval step is the problem the Slack app solves. Replies and pending drafts pile up in a tab nobody has open. A lead who answers in the morning and hears back two days later is a lost meeting. The Slack app moves those events to where your team already is.
How it works in Slack
One-way notifications into a single channel you choose. Nova posts; it never reads your conversations, never joins other channels, and never messages your teammates directly. Two toggles in Nova control what gets posted: replies and everything else that needs approval.

Each alert links straight to the lead, the dashboard or the post in Nova, so the person who sees it first can act on it. Quiet by design: one message per event, and a lead who replies is never announced twice.
Installing the app
The Slack app is an add-on to a Nova workspace, so it is installed from inside Nova — that is where the Add to Slack button lives. It takes about a minute:
- Create a Nova account or sign in to your existing one. A free trial is enough — no card needed to connect Slack.
- Open Settings → Connections → Company and press Add to Slack.
- Slack asks you to approve the permissions below and pick the workspace. Approve, and Slack sends you back to Nova.
- Nova confirms “Slack connected” and asks which channel the alerts should land in. Pick one and you are done — nothing is posted until a channel is selected.
For a private channel, invite the Nova bot to it (/invite @Nova) before selecting it — Slack only lets apps post to private channels they are a member of.
Permissions we ask for, and why

We ask for no read access to messages, files, users or emails. Nova cannot see what is said in your Slack workspace, including in the channel it posts to.
What Nova stores
- The bot token Slack issues, your team ID and team name.
- The ID of the channel you selected, and your two alert toggles.
- The text of the alerts we send, only for as long as delivery takes.
Tokens are stored encrypted and are used for nothing but posting to your chosen channel. Full detail — including every sub-processor and your rights over the data — is in the privacy policy.
Removing the app
Disconnect Slack from Settings → Connections → Company in Nova, or remove Nova from Slack → Settings & administration → Manage apps. Either one revokes the token immediately and stops all alerts. Deleting your Nova workspace deletes the stored Slack credentials with it.
